  • To educate and promote the awareness of Igbo Culture amongst children of Igbo descent in Scotland whilst encouraging them to play their full role in the British Society.
  • To provide a forum for social, educational and general wellbeing of our members and others living in Glasgow and environs.
  • To foster unity among the Igbos and between them and other ethnic groups within and outside Glasgow Scotland.
  • To foster good relations, community participation and collaboration with other communities and organizations.
  • To provide a platform for the articulation and representation of the interest of the Igbo community-based in Glasgow and its environs.
  • To work in collaboration with our host communities and other ethnic minority organisations to fight poverty and all forms of financial exclusions.
  • Igbo Women Association Glasgow works with women and children from different communities and backgrounds assisting and empowering them to;
  • Develop their skills and knowledge through the promotion of lifelong learning.
  • Participate actively in community life.
  • Develop personal resilience and doggedness.
  • Become role models for their families and communities.
  • Become economically active and financially independent through accessing employment, training and volunteering opportunities
  • Improve their health and social wellbeing.
